The watch case is crafted from stainless steel, with the front dial featuring a stunning sunray-brushed blue-grey tone. Under different lighting angles, the dial's saturation seamlessly shifts from silver-grey to deep blue.

Inheriting the Art Deco spirit of the 1931 original, the dial displays only hours and minutes with applied faceted hour markers and sharp Dauphine hands, complemented by a "chemin de fer" (railway) minutes track running around the periphery.

The verso of the watch features a skeletonized design in an elegant Rhodium grey. The bridges are hand-beveled (anglage) and decorated with Côtes de Genève, creating an exquisitely symmetrical and intricate mechanical architecture.

This Reverso is powered by the in-house manual-winding Calibre 860, utilizing a column-wheel mechanism paired with a horizontal clutch (rather than a vertical clutch) to minimize the movement's thickness. This allows the watch to remain remarkably thin at just 11.14mm, despite housing nearly 300 components. Despite having to power both dials as well as the chronograph complication, the movement still maintains an impressive power reserve of 52 hours.

Measuring 49.4mm x 29.9mm, the Q289848J is similar in size to the Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar line. Although the lug-to-lug length specification might sound substantial, thanks to the curved, wrist-hugging lug design, it wears exceptionally well on wrists of 16.5cm and above.
