Audemars Piguet John Shaeffer 14994BA – 18K Yellow Gold The “John Shaeffer” is a special heritage collection from Audemars Piguet, produced for only a short period of three years, from 1995 to 1997. The collection is defined by its distinctive cushion-shaped case, measuring approximately 33–33.5mm, and offered in a wide range of configurations, including minute repeater, jumping hour, skeleton, starwheel,... Among them, the ref. 14994 (featuring hour, minute, and small seconds at 6 o’clock) was produced in only around 90 pieces, while the yellow gold version (14994BA) only have ~28 pieces. "Ultra Rare"

The entire case and buckle are crafted from 18K yellow gold.

Featuring a cushion-shaped case (also known as tortue), the watch measures 33 × 33mm.

The glossy white dial is paired with cathedral-style hour and minute hands, along with printed black Breguet numerals, creating a balanced contrast — both soft and refined.

The small seconds is positioned at 6 o’clock, with a subdial shaped to mirror the cushion case, maintaining visual coherence throughout the design.

The case sides are finished with a brushed texture, seamlessly integrated with the lugs, adding depth and visual interest. Around the case, natural oxidation has developed into a subtle reddish-purple patina, enhancing its vintage character.

The caseback is finished with a brushed texture, featuring the serial number engraved at 12 o’clock and the Au750 hallmark at 9 o’clock. Inside is a manual-winding movement, caliber 2085/2832, offering a power reserve of up to 48 hours.

The watch is fitted with an 18K folding clasp, with the underside stamped with the Au750 hallmark as well as the rare Audemars Piguet signature “AP & Co” — a detail seldom seen on the market.

With a lug-to-lug length of approximately 40.6mm, the AP John Shaeffer wears comfortably even on wrists from around 15cm and above.
