In Dresden, Lange’s hometown, this architectural language is especially visible at the Stallhof, where rows of columns and arches form long Renaissance-style walkways. The entire case of the Arkade is crafted from 18K yellow gold.

The dial features a cream-colored surface, paired with alpha hands and Roman numerals. The outsized date at 12 o’clock is perfectly balanced by the small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, creating a composition that feels harmonious and well-proportioned.

The date corrector is discreetly positioned on the side of the case, around the 1–2 o’clock area.

On the caseback, the outer frame is CNC-engraved with the inscriptions “A. Lange & Söhne” and “Glashütte SA”, executed with remarkable sharpness. These engravings are then hand-finished by Lange’s artisans, a level of detail rarely seen in modern watches within the same segment—where most brands rely on simple laser engraving.

Beneath the sapphire caseback lies the renowned manual-winding Caliber L911.4, specifically developed with a rectangular architecture. This required Lange to create an entirely new movement, rather than adapting existing round calibers from earlier periods.
