USER INSTRUCTIONS & WARRANTY POLICY
1, User Instructions
a, For watches
- Before adjusting any calendars on the watch such as day, date, month, …, the hour hand must be set to the 6-7 o’clock position (To ensure this is a safe time, avoid adjusting during the calendar transition, which can damage the gear system).
- Do not use the watch for rain, swimming, diving, bathing, washing, steaming, …, for watches with water resistance below 200m (20bar/20 atm)
- For products with water resistance of 200m or more, it is also necessary to carefully check the water resistance before going swimming or swimming (For used products).
- For automatic mechanical watches (automatic), if the watch stops due to long-term non-use, simply wind it 10-15 turns before wearing. Minimize winding (about 60-150 turns, depending on the type).
- For mechanical watches using hand-winding (manual winding, hand winding), it can be wound until it is fully wound to ensure maximum power reserve (when using normal winding force, the crown can no longer be moved).
- The watch can be cleaned by wiping with a soft cloth, never use toothpaste or detergents to clean the watch.
b, For leather products and accessories
- Minimize contact with water.
- Can be cleaned by using a soft cloth to gently wipe the surface.
2, Warranty scopes
a, For watches
- The warranty is only valid if the watch is accompanied by a manufacturer’s warranty card/book/voucher or The Quintime’s warranty card, filled in accurately and completely with all information.
- The warranty card/book/voucher must be intact, not torn, patched, rusted, or faded.
- The warranty card/book/voucher is still within the warranty period. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase shown on the Warranty Card.
- The watch is warranted by The Quintime.
- The Quintime is only responsible for warranting defects related to machinery and components that are from the manufacturer.
b, For leather products and accessories
- The default warranty period is 12 months (for peeling, stitching of leather straps, watch boxes).
- The default warranty period for watch winders is 12 months (for manufacturer’s defects).
3, Cases Not Covered by Warranty
- Watches do not have a manufacturer’s warranty card/book/voucher or The Quintime’s warranty card attached.
- Straps, buckles, cases, plating colors, dials, and crystals that are damaged, broken due to improper use, accidents, natural aging, impacts, …, during use.
- Damage caused by indirect consequences of using the manufacturer’s instructions or the store’s instructions incorrectly, such as: incorrect calendar setting, affecting gear mechanisms, overwinding, breaking the mainspring, ….
- Damage issues related to water, or water entering the machine due to swimming, diving, going in the rain, bathing, steaming, exposure to hot steam from hot pot, ….(except for Diver lines – diving watches with water resistance from 200m/20bar/20atm or higher)
- Scratches on the strap or crystal, scratches, cracks due to impacts during use.
- Unauthorized changes to the internal machinery, opening and interfering with repairs during the warranty period at places not recommended by The Quintime.
- The cost of oil lubrication & maintenance; cleaning and polishing; replacing leather straps, rubber straps, metal straps, …. is not covered by the warranty.(Unless the watch has a machine-related problem within 1 month of purchase, such as: running more than 15 minutes/day, power reserve is lower than 30% of the manufacturer’s specifications, heavy hand winding, ….)
4, International Warranty
- The warranty is only valid if the watch is accompanied by an official manufacturer’s warranty card/book/voucher. The warranty card/book/voucher must be filled in completely and accurately with information such as: watch code, watch bottom code (if any), sales address, date of purchase, …. The warranty card/book/voucher must be issued by an authorized dealer or the store where it was sold.
- The warranty period of the watch is calculated from the date of purchase shown on the warranty card/book/voucher and is not extended after the warranty period expires.
- Free warranty is only provided for cases of damage to the machine and internal components of the watch when determined to be due to a manufacturer’s defect.
- Only repair or replace internal watch components. Do not replace or exchange for another watch.
- International warranty is only valid for brands with authorized service centers located in Vietnam. In the event that the authorized service center requests that the watch be sent overseas, all costs of shipping, insurance, taxes, and customs clearance fees (if any) will not be covered by The Quintime. In this case, the customer may choose to have the watch repaired at The Quintime in accordance with Section 2 above.
