The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso collection, launched in 1931, was originally designed for polo players to protect their watches from damage during matches.

The idea came from Swiss businessman César de Trey, who encountered this issue in a polo game in India. He brought the challenge to Jacques-David LeCoultre, leading to the creation of the reversible watch, designed by René-Alfred Chauvot.

Over time, the Reverso evolved from a sports watch to a symbol of elegance, often worn by sophisticated gentlemen.
